The Independent Living Council of Wisconsin is looking for people with knowledge of Centers for Independent Living to join us. More information about the council is found on our website .

The Council meets regularly, usually four times annually, in various parts of the state where Centers for Independent Living are located.

We encourage people with disabilities of all types to apply for membership. We also encourage members of other traditionally underrepresented groups such as racial or ethnic minorities, and urban or rural residents to apply.

The Independent Living Council of Wisconsin invites interested persons to attend the November Council Meeting in Eau Claire. The Council invites public comments from consumers and stakeholders from 4:00 to 4:30 PM on November 14, 2016 at the meeting to be held at Center for Independent Living of Western Wisconsin, 2004 Highland Avenue, Ste. Every three years, the Council and Centers develop a State Plan for Independent Living. The agencies develop the plan with people with disabilities and agencies working with them, including the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. The current plan goes into effect October 1, 2016.
